Many reiki practitioners offer their services free through volunteer services .A recognized Master Reiki Practitioner, Patricia Alandydy and a registered nurse the Surgical Department at Portsmouth Regional Hospital in New Hampshire in 1997 made Reiki services available to patients within the Surgical Services Department (Journal Nursing Care Quality. 1999 Apr;13(4):89-91. Alandydy P, Alandydy K.). As a reiki practitioner I am grateful to all who had donated their time to help others selflessly, and make it more accessible to people that would request it. Reiki isn’t new age! It is ancient healing practice to help ease the body, mind and spirit in hopes to restore the body, so then the body can heal.
